Just before we leave Pushkar, a last encounter.

On the last day of the festival we three went to the temple ghats on the south side of the lake ('tank').  There were quite a few sadhus along that side.  They usually don't appreciate - and will indicate firmly - about having their picture taken.  One of the babas was 'holding court' at an outcrop on the steps, with a fire of wood and cow dung, and making chai and smoking chillums.  He would invite other babas walking by and the occasional foreigner to come and sit and join them and have a drink and smoke. When I walked by as we were about to leave he motioned me down too.  I went, and ended up having chai with a wonderful smokey flavour to it (they had finished with the chillums at the time).  I just sat and spoke with one of the babas from a nearby village, about how good it was to be a senior  citizen (big discounts on Indian transportation, which I also used).  A nice time, he let me take a few pics, and I got blessed with ashes from the fire at the end.  Felt good.
