Pahar Ganj from a few years ago.

Dave here....
25 October , 2016

Although Anne (not Maggie, my Anne) & I have been in & out of Delhi since the late 1970's,  and I certainly took a number of pics (slides) of the city over the years, at the moment I don't have many accessible that I've published of the area where we'll be basing our first stop in Delhi - Pahar Ganj.  It has been quite the wild travellers area over many decades.

I haven't landed in Delhi on my annual trips for a number of years (usually it's Mumbai or Chennai), so it should be interesting to see how the old haunt is standing up (or falling over).

In my winter 2006 visit blog (my first blog!) at http://dave-2006.blogspot.ca/ I have a selected number of the first digital images I took for fun.

Below are few images that I didn't include in the 2006 blog.

I do have a number scanned in from 1979, and at some point - in the 'quiet' times from now till we leave....just need some quiet times - I may post these on a separate page here.

...and by the way...If you click on any picture you'll get a larger version and you can view them consecutively with the Google image viewer.

Just walking down the main Pahar Ganj road.
Not untypical.
Well, this wasn't in Pahar Ganj, but in nearby Connaught Place.
It was just so stunning to see a McDs's!
