Kids dressed as Hindu deities, begging in Pushkar during the Fair.

Pics and text by Dave:

During the fair one sees children, some quite young, dressed up as deities and begging in the streets.  They will just walk down the road with a metal tray or bowl looking for 'offerings', or sometimes approach you directly.
Please click on the pic to embiggen.
You have a glimpse of brightly coloured
short people in the crowd....

...and there they are, often travelling in pairs.

Eating together like these kids, they seem organized in little groups,
which means they are likely 'run' by some adults.
